About Us
Research Duo from Uppsala
BAM Technology was founded after years of research at Uppsala University, driven by the shared vision of Viktoria Engqvist and Professor Håkan Engqvist. Viktoria, with a deep passion for health and cosmetics, began exploring innovative ways to strengthen hair, skin, and nails. Together with Professor Håkan Engqvist, an expert in applied materials science, they focused on calcium and silicon—two essential elements—and developed a unique, patented technology to deliver these minerals directly to the target area for localized strengthening.
This innovation emerged during Viktoria's studies when she recognized the potential of applying silicon directly to skin and nails rather than relying on dietary supplements. Their research paved the way for a technology that boosts collagen growth in hair, skin, and nails, addressing issues like brittle nails, hair loss and dehydrated skin caused by collagen deficiency.
BAM Technology´s first product, B.A.M Nail Serum, features a revolutionary formula that dissolves silicon upon contact with the skin, allowing it to penetrate to the cellular level where the process of collagen growth begins. These dermatologically tested products are made in Sweden using natural and organic ingredients.
With its roots in scientific innovation, BAM Technology is not just enhancing personal care but also unlocking potential applications in fields like medical device. This marks the beginning of a new era in localized collagen stimulation and mineral delivery.
SKAPA-Talent for Young Innovators
The SKAPA Award is Sweden's largest innovation prize and has been awarded annually for over 30 years. The prize is distributed at both regional and national levels. Its purpose is to recognize and provide financial support to creative individuals, enabling them to continue developing their innovations.
Viktoria Engqvist has invented and patented a new formulation that allows silicon to dissolve upon contact with the skin, penetrate to the cellular level, and initiate a process that promotes collagen growth.
